1. Who we are
Standing Accordant LLP — a Limited Liability Partnership registered in England & Wales, LLP No. OC390913. VAT Registration No. GB 186 2575 75. Trading as Signet Scrutiny. Contact us via our Support page.
For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Standing Accordant LLP is the data controller for personal data processed through this site.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name (if provided), email address, hashed password, sign-in provider identifiers (e.g. Google).
- Purchase data: the fact you enrolled, amount paid, currency, timestamps, and a Stripe customer identifier. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles those.
- Learning data: which lessons you've completed and any bookmarks or notes you save.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, approximate location (from IP), pages viewed, referring URLs, and error diagnostics.
3. Why we process it (lawful bases)
- Contract — to deliver the masterclass you paid for and manage your account.
- Legal obligation — for tax, VAT and accounting records (typically retained for 6 years).
- Legitimate interests — securing the site, preventing fraud, improving the product, and communicating with you about your enrolment.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and any marketing emails (you can withdraw consent at any time).
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted processors to run the service. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement:
- Stripe — payment processing (transferred to the US under Stripe's adequacy safeguards / SCCs).
- Supabase / hosting infrastructure — account, learning and purchase data storage (EU region where available).
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) — welcome and transactional email delivery.
We never sell personal data. We only disclose it to authorities where legally required.
5. International transfers
Some processors are based outside the UK/EEA (notably the US). Where that happens, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent safeguard.
6. How long we keep it
- Account data: for as long as your account exists.
- Purchase and tax records: 6 years, to comply with HMRC record-keeping rules.
- Support enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. You can also withdraw consent for optional processing at any time. Ask us via our Support page. We respond within one month.
If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed; data in transit is encrypted with TLS; access to production data is limited to authorised personnel. No system is perfectly secure — please choose a strong, unique password.
9. Children
Signet Scrutiny is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
